FENNE LILY SHARES NEW TRACK ‘CAR PARK’

Fenne Lily has today shared ‘Car Park’, the opening track from her soon-to-be-released debut album, ‘On Hold’ which is out on 6th April.

Despite being the opening track for the record, ‘Car Park’ was one of the final tracks that Fenne wrote for her debut. As with the recently released title track from the album, Fenne is once again playing electric guitar on ‘Car Park, channeling her slacker vibe influences as she naturally progresses beyond her acoustic beginnings. The sonic development of ‘Car Park’ offers a promising glimpse at what we can expect from her debut LP ahead of its imminent release.
Speaking about the track itself Fenne Lily shares: “I’ll be the first to admit that my songs are far from uplifting, but while ‘Car Park’ chronicles yet another period of false hope and turmoil, it was written following the realisation that damaging patterns are enabled and suffered by the passive. I cannot and will not blame my heartache on anyone but myself, so this isn’t a song about pain, it’s a song about power; about putting the ball in your own court; about knowing when to wave goodbye to the things that make you ache in order to make space for those that help you grow.”
Today’s unveiling of ‘Car Park’ swiftly follows the release of Fenne’s self-directed video for the album’s debut title track.

Coinciding with the album’s release, Fenne and her newly assembled band will embark on a headline tour kicking off in Cardiff on 6th April. The UK leg of the tour will take in Southampton, Brighton, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham, London, and a homecoming show in Bristol on 17th April before then moving onto mainland Europe.
