PREVIEW: NASS FESTIVAL 2016

With just a couple of days to go the full line-up for NASS, the high octane actions sport and music festival is out!

Joining headliners, Californian hip hop group Jurassic 5, drum ‘n’ bass pioneer Andy C and Australian dance duo Knife Party will be a massive 100 acts across five stages over three rad days on the 8th – 10th July.

Some 15,000 music and extreme sports fans will gather at the Bath & West Showground, near Bristol to watch the world’s top BMX and skateboard stars show off their skills but also to have their world’s rocked by the festival’s music stages.

The main stage will be awash with big hitters from the worlds of drum and bass, dance, rock and grime with man of the year Stormzy, British rapper and actress Little Simz, indie/hip hop crossover star Rat Boy and Roni Size and DJ Krust’s creation Full Cycle are all part of a top-notch line-up which will keep the crowds entertained over all three days at NASS.

Away from the main stage the Southbank, Warehouse, SIKA studios, Hangar and new Truck and Bearing stages will keep the party spirit going with bands and styles to suit all tastes, from Netsky and Flava D to Skindred’s Benji Webbe and Newham Generals.

Record labels SIKA and In The Balance will be bringing their hottest artists, while Wide Eyes drum ‘n’ bass night will take over the Warehouse with some of the hottest acts from Bristol, the spiritual home of the genre.

Andrew Topham, NASS Director added: “Our line-up for 2016 is incredible, Jurassic 5 is one of those iconic bands that you just know and admire and they will definitely bring the party vibes to the festival. We are stoked to have such an insane line up of grime, hip hop, electro, punk and drum & bass artists on board, bringing something for everyone. NASS unites alternative cultures of action sport, music and street culture together in one unique experience; this year’s event promises to be the biggest yet.”

With the music going on until 3am and so many great bands coming to NASS the party is sure to keep going long after the bikes and boards have been put down.

This year’s festival will also see leading street artists, Loch Ness, My Dog Sighs, Lokey, Voyder, Somsert and three collectives, Lost Souls, MOA and SSOSVA join forces in an epic paint jam.

For 2016, the high octane action sport and music festival will host the IBMXFF World Championships, marking the first time the ‘Worlds’ have been held in the UK in 28 years and one of Europe’s top skateboard competitions with the UK’s largest prize purse up for grabs. Over 400 athletes will compete over the three days.

Tickets for 2016 are available now through See Tickets. NASS operates a tiered ticketing system with price bands for tickets changing over time – the sooner you buy, the cheaper it is.
