Baltimore pop-punkers Face Value have released their new music video for ‘Eff Sharp’.

‘EFF Sharp’ is taken from Face Value’s new EP “Thick as Thieves”, available to stream in full via Bandcamp.

Baltimore quartet Face Value continue their emergence onto the alternative music scene, balancing a youthful exuberance and unwavering energy. Building on 2015’s debut album Growing Up Young, Face Value have honed their style for upcoming EP “Thick as Thieves”, with a more mature execution in play from the get go; regular appearances from the acoustic guitar and a more seasoned song-writing process ensures that their sophomore release is anything but sophomoric.

Face Value (formerly Out To See) finalized their current line-up when founding members Alec Myers (vocals) and Jeremiah Douglas (drums) linked up with brothers Parker Ross (lead guitar) and Grayson Ross (bass). This coupling would mesh the unique pop-rock and effect-driven sound of the Ross brothers with the fundamental raw punk tendencies towards which Alec and Jeremiah continued to gravitate.

The four Maryland friends procured the services of pop-punk maestro Michael Bridgett (Turnover, I Call Fives, Handguns, etc.) for the recording, initially, of debut album Growing Up Young in early 2015. The interlinking of styles as well as the experience of Bridgett would quickly prove a success, with Growing Up Young laying down a marker for the band’s future work.

In early 2016, buoyed by the success of a Christmas acoustic-split EP with singer-songwriter Chris Swartz, Face Value returned to the studio to begin work on their follow-up, 6-track EP “Thick as Thieves”.

With the band continuing to gain recognition beyond the walls of Maryland alone, “Thick as Thieves” incorporates a more considered and patient delivery, eliminating some of the rawness seen on Growing Up Young, without ever comprising the youthful energy that marks Face Value as one to watch in 2016.

“Thick as Thieves” is out now.
