Following news from Australian music tastemakers Pilerats Records that they’ve got a new horse in the label stable by way of HALFNOISE, the solo producer project of Nashville’s Zac Farro (whom many know for his work as the drummer in Paramore) and the release of upbeat indie-pop single Know The Feeling, gets its video debut today.
HALFNOISE is the creative project of Nashville-based musician Zac Farro; fusing his passion for live drums, electronic elements, and his unique voice to create a sound that bravely steps into the future without abandoning his already incredibly successful past. Farro spent most of his early music career as a founding member of Paramore, touring with the band from 2004 to 2010 and lending his talents as a drummer to the band’s first three records – All We Know Is Falling, and the platinum-selling Riot!, and Brand New Eyes.
After releasing his self-titled HALFNOISE in 2012, and moving to New Zealand in 2014 to record his sophomore album VOLCANO CROWE, Farro found himself back out on the road supporting Broods on a national tour. His time spent in New Zealand also helped cement a relationship with Joel Little (Lorde, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding), who Farro tapped to produce his 2015 single “INSIDE,” an experience that would help him grow as a vocalist and writer. It was this newfound confidence that helped shape the newest HALFNOISE record, which after moving back to Nashville, Farro self-produced at Save Point Studios in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends and close collaborators.
